He taught chemistry, physics, and general science at the college level for 38 years. A native of Himalayas, his work and interest remained in these mighty and beautiful mountains. A seasoned professional, worked on various environment and development issues over decade in India and its mountains. Vajpai is trained on various ecosystem approaches in water resources, bio-diversity, farming and climatic issues. At present he is working  as Convener and Environment Specialist at Climate Himalaya, and involved in developing the first phase of knowledge networking and partnership among interest groups.  His quest is about various social, environmental and developmental efforts in Himalayan Mountains and their impact to its dwellers. They are about various practices, policies and institutional functioning and about contemporary to traditional science. His writings are contextual, and entail the veracity of development in Himalayan Mountains!


Tahera Nassarat

Born in Kabul, Afghanistan Tahera finished primary education in Kabul and higher education in Mazar-i-Sharif Afghanistan. Her first Advance Diploma in accounting was received in Australia and she is now undertaking her Bachelor of Business and Commerce at University of Western Sydney in Australia. Tahera has completed a number of training courses; including Career Development training in Australia, Assertiveness in London, Team Leading & Management in Scotland, Report writing & report Officer Workshop in London, Tools & Procedures for Effective Development- DFID-Kabul, Geographical Information System (GIS), and Program Manager System courses in Islamabad. All together, she has 13 years of working experience. Her career started with MSF-Belguim & Holland, then, UNICEF-Islamabad, DFID Kabul, Office of Fair Trading, Root Project Australia and Lindsay Taylor Lawyers in Australia.
